What can be said about Mr. Handlebear and co founder of VaVa Records, for starters he is an authors dream, a modern day James Douglas Morrison, a mothers pride and a girlfriends worst nightmare...Mysterious, charming, complex and at times a liability, a non-conformist who is just as interested in adventure, travel and experience as he is in music and art. So elusive that we couldn't even track him down long enough to write his own biography so we wrote it for him. We hope he approves…
…It all started by what he’s called, ‘the kiss of death'. Shortly after his mother gave birth to her first and only son, they paid an early visit to friends and family in the U.S. On only the second day and carrying her new born pride and joy, she found herself outside the favorite hotel of a one Elvis Aaron Presley along with his many friends and admirers in line to catch a glimpse of their hero. To stumble upon such an event was beyond real but when ‘the King' finally makes an appearance and within minutes reaches over and kisses the forehead of the newly born baby, the proud mother is beside herself and among others she believes that it is this that explains why her son has followed a path through music and entertainment.
Brent Handlebear however disagrees, ‘my mother gets very excited about this particular incident; she thinks it's very poignant but seriously, if you look at that episode when it took place, at the time Elvis was struggling…now that's what I call poignant. I'm great at struggling, besides at times no one even notices I've entered the building never mind leaving it…
